What’s in your book bag for summer reading? Stephen King? David Sedaris? Kate Atkinson?
Why not consider adding a great read for fundraisers into your summer mix? Here are a few of my favorites:
Two must reads in our office are Ken Burnett’s Relationship Fundraising and Mal Warwick’s How to Write Successful Fundraising Appeals.
I’m also a big fan of Big Duck’s Sarah Durham, and I recommend her Brandraising: How Nonprofits Raise Visibility and Money Through Smart Communications.
Jeff Brooks has a new book, The Fundraiser’s Guide to Irresistible Communications, that promises useful tips from a superstar copy guru.
Daniel Pink is always full of inspiring ideas, and his newest book, To Sell is Human: The Surprising Truth About Moving Others is on my “to read” list.
And, another classic from Kay Sprinkel Grace published its second edition earlier this year, Beyond Fundraising, New Strategies for Nonprofit Innovation and Investment.
You can’t go wrong with any of these. I’d love to hear what you’re reading this summer. Drop me a line.
