Connect to Your Mid-Level Donors

Screen Shot 2015-06-09 at 2.02.46 PMWe’ve all heard a lot about the “missing middle” in our nonprofits. In a session at #Bridge15, I’ll be joining Chris Brooks and Maya Mahoney from Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry Campaign to offer some practical advice for finding and engaging your mid-level donors.

We believe there are two important steps you can take immediately.

#1 – Make the effort. You can’t engage these donors without acknowledging their existence.

Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry came up with a smart, low-cost way to engage their mid-level donors. They were successful and have expanded the program (which by the way, also increased employee engagement!). They’ll tell you all about it in our session.

#2 – Have a different conversation. Your mid-level donors aren’t the same as your everyday donors, but they’re not major gifts donors either.

I’ll share some useful tips on how to talk to your mid-level donors by engaging them in your mission and letting them know how they can help you change the world.

If you’re looking for ways to connect with your middle donors, please join us at “Find Your Missing Middle: Cultivating a Deeper Connection to Mid-Level Donors and Bridging The Gap Between Membership and Major Gifts,” June 8th at 4:00 p.m. at #Bridge15!
